After Funimation acquired Crunchyroll back in 2021 the question on everyone’s mind was ‘when will they merge their libraries’? We’re pleased to say that that as of today, you can watch Yu Yu Hakusho on Crunchyroll along with hundreds of other shows from the Funimation catalogue. Yu Yu Hakusho had previously been streamable on Crunchyroll but was removed in 2018 due to licencing issues.
While you can stream all 112 episodes in English and Japanese there isn’t any sign of the Yu Yu Hakusho movies ‘Yu Yu Hakusho: The Movie’ and ‘Yu Yu Hakusho: Poltergeist Report’. Also missing are the 2018 Yu Yu Hakusho OVAs “All or Nothing” and “Two Shots”. Funimation expressed interest in dubbing the OVAs back in 2020 but have not made a statement since. Surprisingly the movies and OVAs are still available to stream on Netflix.
If you don’t have access to Crunchyroll you can still find Yu Yu Hakusho on Netflix Japan in both the English dub and the original Japanese.
