Taka Corp Studio: Yusuke Urameshi Statue Prototype

Spread the love

Following on from the successful launch of the Dragon of Darkness Flame, Taka Corp Studio has announced their latest addition to their Yu Yu Hakusho collection with a teaser for their Yusuke Urameshi resin statue. As with their Hiei Statue, the Yusuke statue is designed to capture the Spirit Detective’s distinct features with an extreme level of detail.

The pose of the final design will be different to what is shown in the 3D prototype and will be revealed in September when Taka Corp Studio plans to start accepting preorder applications. The studio confirmed with us that the final 3D sculpt has already been approved by the licencor and that the prototype is in printing. Collectors can rejoice as this piece is expected to come in less expensive than the previous statue in the series.

There’s not long to wait until the final design is revealed but we still find ourselves asking, just what could the final design be?

Taking a closer look at Yusuke’s face, the answer might already be revealed. Yusuke is moulded with an expression often seen when releasing his signature move, the Spirit Gun. Since the Hiei statue from the same collection also prominently features the characters signature move, it’s not too much of a jump to assume this will also be the case for Yusuke.

We will post updates as more information becomes available so please stay tuned.
